How to pack to minimise breakage

√ Ensure all packing materials are on hand ready when you are
√ Use plenty of paper as padding and wrapping including top and bottom of box
√ Pack heavy items e.g. books, canned food etc in book boxes
√ Pack heavy items e.g. crockery first, then lighter items in standard boxes
√ Layer with soft items such as bedding, tea towels
√ Pack in study boxes that won't break when full
√ Fill boxes to top to avoid crushing
√ Label box immediately with the room and contents
